Hello! This is a pencil I did for a friend, it was meant to be her tattoo design. I use to do loose pencils when I'm inking myself; a loose sketch for me is a way of inspiring brush inking skills, and at the least it gives a lot room to interpret the lines for me and it's twice as fun than inking a defined piece of work.
You can see that her reflection in the water is the initial layout. Originally I was going to surround it with flowers next to her, but then I decided to just draw a castle and a dead Sakura tree; I also like to scribble roughly before I clean it up.
