Once again I was inspired by a beautiful piece of work by my current deviantARTs muse (hehe) H A N T E N S H I named "Searching Myself", and I reproduced it in a drawing/brushed style.
Take a peek at her gallery and give her talent all the favorites that it deserves!
Olá! Eu fiz este desenho inspirado em outra foto desta colega boitinha. O titulo (em japonês) que escolhi, RAKUYO, significa algo como desfolhamento; o cair das folhas; folhas caídas.
You're welcome. You are truly gifted. I am an artist, too. You produce such awe-inspiring works. I love how you handle pen and ink. Pen and ink is my preference. When I was a teenager,I would always use ultra fine tip pens to sketch. I would make great use of solids and lines. I never quite mastered the ability to draw quite as you have, but seeing your art inspires me to want to pick up a pen again. It's been a while. You write and illustrate comic books in Brazil? What are your influences? I have story ideas that I would love to write and illustrate. Just haven't been focused enough. Long before the Twilight craze,I had my own vampire/romance story going on in my head that I had wanted to put onto paper; it was to be a series like Twilight. My story was first thought up in 1994..... long before Twilight. What kinds of stories do you publish in your comics?
Hi John, if drawing is what you love to do so, to pick up a pen and keep doing is the right thing to do buddy.
I like to pencil and ink, I am not into writing but I like to create few tales and concepts. I have a partner that I share a few projects, and he writes it with me. In US market, I use to draw super hero books the most, but I like other genres like Will Eisner's books, tales as Guy de Maupassant made, and history (to read bio as Alexander, Saladin, and etc), and mythology. I know what you meant with the Twilight thing, it happen so many times to me and it's funny how frustrating it is. It also happened to me about concepts I had of inventing tools, and others science stuff. The 'solution' is, if you have an idea, put in a paper and copyright it, develop your history and try publish it anywhere. Do not wait and don't leave until tomorrow to finish it, you might a really good stuff in your hands.
Thank you for the advice. The story is still strong in my head. It is similar in nature to Twilight, but very different otherwise. Anne Rice, I have to admit, was an influence at the time I thought it. Another idea I have is about a nutty family; it's a cartoon. I just need to get the inspiration back. I have been doing photography instead of drawing. Got to get back to drawing again. You certainly inspire me.
